“The Village House”
Sunrise outside my parents’ lovely home in California…

Keep meaning to update this page but continue to find myself at a loss for words.
For now pictures will have to do…
Christmas 2009. Lights set by Sherry & Sean. Photo by Sean.
And the the almond groves, that so many have heard about, in full blossom.
Picture by Sherry & Sean, taken in February of 2008. Click on it to see it ‘bloom’.
“It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love.”
~ From Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Be it in the dead of winter (like now–January 2010) where they stand stubbornly in their scratchy, quiet dryness or when they bloom into spellbinding mystery (as in the picture above) or when they are lush green with almonds ready to be picked in the summer and fall…there is nothing quite like walking through almond groves.
